Maki is amazing! Very professional and clearly very experienced. My cat is a 25 pound maine coon who had never been to a groomer before. She removed some very stubborn matted/pelted hair, gave him a lion cut, and a bath. My cat seemed immediately relieved and happier when she was finished.

I’ve been bringing my cat, Ginger, to Maki for over two years now, and I couldn’t be happier with the care we receive. Maki is incredibly gentle, especially with Ginger’s matted fur, and always takes her time to make sure the grooming is done right. She genuinely cares for the pets, and it’s always a pleasure to chat with her during our visits. Maki also stays on top of her game by continuously updating her skills through additional certifications. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a professional groomer who’s patient, kind, and truly dedicated to her craft!

I also brought my Maine Coon mix for an annual "lion cut" to keep her cool in the heat. The result was excellent--a precision trim! I was impressed by the spotless studio and Maki's friendly service.

The care and patience Maki took with my 20 year old cat, Lizzy was exceptional. From my initial phone call with Maki to book the appointment, I could tell that she was an absolute professional; the questions she asked about my senior cat as I booked the appointment made me feel totally at ease. Maki took the time she, and my cat needed to feel as comfortable as possible and I appreciated that she asked me to stay along for the appointment to make sure to keep my cats stress was as low as possible. Maki recently groomed my Maine Coon cross as he was quite matted in areas. She did an amazing job. You can really tell she’s a cat person. This was his first grooming and he was not happy. She would wait for him to calm down and then continue on. It was a great experience. I cannot recommend her enough if you need a cat groomer. She will be seeing us regularly for grooming. She’s a gem.

I brought in my 14 year old cat who has extensive matting. Maki was so kind, professional and patient and now my cat has her mobility back! She seems younger and much happier. Maki is very knowledgeable about cats and their skin (which is different from dogs) and this extensive grooming session was evidence of her knowledge and skill. I have 3 cats and will be more proactive with them, and i will definitely book with Lavender Spa only.
